 elias "eli" lucas erwin was born on july 17th, 1986 in the city of flintshire, north wales. after many failed attempts at conceiving a child, eli's parents were thrilled to finally have this bouncing baby boy a part of their life. of course with his mother originally from spain and his fathers family line descending from a predominantly welsh background, it definitely made for an interesting childhood. the young boy learned about all the customs of both heritages in his blood and continued to do so even after the family moved to america in 1996. elias can speak both english and spanish fluently, though any hint of a welsh accent died some time ago.
at the age of ten, when eli and his parents first immigrated to america, he found himself slightly introverted. big moves will do that to any kid, but leaving a whole country behind and his young life as he knew it, was extremely hard for the boy. he was always his parents golden child however and even at that age, made it his personal goal to grasp life by the horns and make of it what he could. he forced himself out of his own comfort zone to simply make friends and act like any normal child would. however, it didn't take long for the boy to actually believe what he was selling and become the outgoing person that he is today.
two years after the families move to america, eli's parents succeeded in conceiving their second child. unlike many children, elias understood, even then, the blessing of a human life and just how badly his parents had wanted a sibling for him. he spent his entire twelfth year on the planet helping his parents plan for their second child and on february 2nd, 1999 elizabeth rose erwin was brought into this world. from that day forward, elias spent his time trying to be a good big brother and still makes it a point to do everything he can for his little sister. she is the most important thing in his life (besides his mother and father) and no matter what, he always looks out for her. god help the boy that starts dating her in her teen years.
at the age of fifteen, young eli was met with a pleasant surprise when his cousin (![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) drystan) coincidently moved to the same town the boy was living in. having been one of the few family he could actually remember ever missing after he left, eli was elated to have someone he could bond with and help keep his home alive in his mind. being so close in age, the two were well fit to run with one another and though drystan had a bought with drug addiction, elias kept by his side as much as he possibly could. being the way the boy was though, he himself didn't fall into those patterns and though he dabbled about in different extra curricular activities on his own, never found himself addicted or compelled to stay wrapped up in any one substance.
throughout his high school years, elias tried his best to keep to his studies but even at a young age he knew his calling. as far back as at home in wales, he had been drawn to the nightlife of the city. boys and girls getting dressed up simply to go out, party and have a good time. around the age of 15, eli attended his first real party and at that very moment, he knew exactly where his life would be headed. the loud music, the lights, the sounds, all entranced the young boy and it at that point, became his dream to own his own nightclub. small steps of course, the boy got a job straight out of high school as a dj at a club in atlantic city. having taught himself how to lay down tracks and mix records like some of the greats, he was a popular addition to the club and people loved his musical arrangements. as the years passed, the club owner realized eli's knack for the scene and his obvious passion for what he was doing, offered eli a job as the clubs manager. elias graciously accepted and now runs the hottest club in the nearby city nearly every night. he still dj's every now and then, but stays mostly behind the scenes.
while working a rather tiring job, elias still manages to attend college, taking classes on business management. now in his fourth year, he is constantly bent on finding new things to learn. whether it be things you need in every day life or something like learning how to sky dive, he's done it all. though being sensible, he also lives for the thrill of adventure and prides himself on trying everything at least once. his favorite activities are skiing and sailing, though he doesn't own his own boat, yet.
